ALIN and Africa Adapt will give an analysis of Climate Change in Africa. ALIN plans to share on how we communicate climate change adaptation using [http:www.alin.net/?media_centre/publications/joto_afrika| Joto Afrika] as a forum where research and latest developments are simplified for the common man. We shall explain how ALIN identiies themes, works with African researchers and the distribution and feedback we get from our readers. We shall also share on how [http:www.alin.net/?media_centre/publications| Baobab] magazine targets community development workers and farmers on sustainable small-scale agriculture.
The We shall have posters showing the cycle of story development to the readers level and feedback. Two short videos done by ALIN shall also be shown. One is on the effects of human activities and climate change in the Mau Forest and the other on adaptation strategies on climate change by communities in Kyuso.
We shall include a pictorial story about on-farm water harvesting using a case study of one farmer, Mr. Francis Kiarahu, who comes from Laikipia West in Kenya which is semi arid and where the adverse effects of climate change are being felt in the form of increasingly unpredictable rainfall. Mr. Kiarahu has not only been using this technology for more than five years, he has also documented all this in form of pictures. The beauty of it: He will be at the Fair to tell the story himself!

Susan Mwangi to talk about Joto Afrika and Baobab (of which she is Chief Editor) both regular publications of Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN).
Anthony Mugo, to share about ALIN's approach towards Knowledge Sharing around climate change and ALIN's approach working with communities to strengthen coping mechanisms particularly through sustainable agricultural practices.
